8 Copper Rigg, a bijou and rather cute terraced cottage, has all the benefits of modern living together with up-to-date furnishings and a fresh inviting décor.
If you wish to experience a quieter pace of life in a stunning part of the Lake District, Copper Rigg provides comfort, value for money and a great base from which to explore all the southern Lakes has to offer.
Copper Rigg is a well-equipped and comfortable terraced cottage close to the historic centre of Broughton-in-Furness in the south western Lake District. Enjoy the convenience of award-winning pubs and excellent local shops on your doorstep as well as a scenic walk to nearby fishing ponds and woodland. Broughton is a superb base from which to explore the western Lake District with its tranquil lakes, stunning mountain scenery and beautiful coastline. The central Lake District (Windermere and Ambleside) are within an hour's drive while Coniston is less than half an hour away.

The cottage features an open-plan living room with a large comfortable sofa to sink into.
The sofa also converts into a double sized bed in the sitting area, offering extra flexibility for guests.
A cloakroom with WC is also situated on the ground floor for guests convenience.
There is a wide range of tourist attractions within touching distance of Copper Rigg - historical sites and leisure activities to fill your holiday with. Ride on a steam train from Haverthwaite to the Lakes Aquarium, visit Muncaster Castle with its own sanctuary, enjoy the spectacle of tigers, lions and rhinos at Dalton's zoo, or take a boat ride on Coniston Water. Pre-historic stone circles, historic houses and ancient castles abound. Choose from mountain biking in Grizedale Forest, canoeing on the Duddon River, horse-riding on Silecroft beach or simply make the most of glorious vistas of open sea, shimmering lakes and lofty mountains...
A well equipped kitchen completes the downstairs, with microwave, cooker, hob, and fridge (no freezer). There is a plentiful supply of crockery available for guest use at Copper Rigg, including children's crockery too.
A free welcome gift for guests can be found waiting on the dining table on arrival, along with visitor information covering the local area.
Sleeping up to four guests at Copper Rigg, upstairs there is a large, light and airy, comfortably furnished king bedroom with a king size bed.
Opposite this main bedroom is the second bedroom - a twin - which has two single divan beds.
A modern, family bathroom in white, with easy to operate shower is also available on the first floor, conveniently located between the bedrooms.
as is the bed linen.
Twin Bedded Room
Two single divan beds with white wooden headboards make for both a comfortable and warm, inviting room in which to enjoy a night's rest.
This room is situated at the front of the property so looks out on the pleasant walkway through Copper Rigg.
As previously mentioned, there is a cloakroom for boots and coats just to the left inside the front door - it's a very handy and well used little addition to Copper Rigg!
Copper Rigg is also well stocked with everyday background items, so you will find supplies of liquid hand soap, toilet rolls, kitchen roll, cloths, fairy liquid, tea, coffee, sugar, tin foil, that sort of item.
There are also a lot of leaflets detailing activities to do, and a plentiful supply of ideas for walks around the local area as well as a little farther afield.
A pleasant courtyard at the back of the house, decorated with potted plants and blooms, lends itself to relaxation and lazy summer barbecues.
The back of the cottage looks out over the village fire station.
Copper Rigg is a designated non-smoking property.
Copper Rigg is not suitable for pets as the whole of the downstairs has laminate flooring, which is quite difficult for paws to maintain their grip.
There is also one private, designated parking space available for one car at Copper Rigg to the rear of the property.
