South Cumbria Holiday Cottages is based around the very beautiful and unspoilt Lake District National Park.
We offer bespoke self catering holiday cottages for rental in Haverigg and Silecroft over on the west Cumbrian coast, and also in the village of Broughton in Furness, and also the Duddon Valley, in the South Lakes, truly hidden treasures of the Cumbrian western lake district.
Just a short drive in any direction on your holidays will lead you to valleys, lakes, coast or town - the Duddon Valley, Torver, Coniston, the western beaches and coast at Haverigg and Silecroft, and yet the central Lakes, Windermere and Ambleside for instance, are within an hours driving distance.
Sleeping between two and eight guests, we offer you our self catering holiday cottages to rent in Haverigg, and Silecroft which are close to Millom along the Cumbrian coast.
We also have beautiful cottages at Broughton in Furness, and within the Duddon Valley, located around the southern lake district of Cumbria.
Presently we are privileged to have "3 ST LUKES", "HIGH BRIDGE END", "BANK HOUSE", "COPPER RIGG", "RIVERSIDE", "OLD TRAVELLERS REST", "STABLE COTTAGE" and "SLAPESTONES" cottages, which are all furbished to a very comfortable specification.
Each has its own blend of uniqueness, but all offer a real chance to experience the western Lakes, be it for a short break, a weekend or longer, from an outstanding base.
All our self catering holiday cottage rentals are situated within the Duddon Valley, Broughton in Furness, Silecroft and Haverigg, in western Cumbria.
All offer very luxurious accommodation where guests can relax, explore the local area and leave feeling both refreshed and looking forward towards a return visit to the lakes.
All our holiday homes around Haverigg and Silecroft, and also around Broughton and the Duddon Valley are ideal for weekend breaks, short breaks, or something longer.

3 St Lukes offers exceptional value for money in the shape of a large spacious end terraced property, where a family of up to four can spread out, relax, walk to the sea in five minutes, play on the sand, walk the beach wall, and pass a couple of good pubs (and a chip shop!) on the way home!
All in all 3 St Lukes is very lovely and highly recommended, completely family and pet friendly accommodation.

A most characterful, traditionally Cumbrian cottage with very modern twists - we are delighted to offer you Stable Cottage.
Located within a working farm, in a very peaceful, yet not too remote location, there are lots of windows to this cottage - and a fabulous view of the fells and fields from every one!
Stunning tiled floors complimented with carpeted areas on the stairs and a spacious bedroom, the large bathroom complete with separate shower cubicle and roll top bath, boasts underfloor heating, which is activated as you turn on the lights - and really is a luxurious feature at the end of a days walking! The cottage is paved to all sides for guests to make use of the garden furniture and take in the views.

Riverside Cottage - Sleeps 4
This lovingly restored cottage has a unique charm all of its own.
Riverside Cottage, nestling next to the River Duddon in the Duddon Valley, helps you understand clearly the magic that William Wordsworth saw, and why he was compelled to write such beautiful poetry about the valley. The Newfield Inn, the local pub steeped in history, is a very scenic walk away of about a mile.
Choose a view from the window seats towards Caw Fell and The Old Man of Coniston. Or the view from the garden towards Stickle Pike and to the fells across the river. You can see Wallabarra Crag from the slate garden. Listen to the river, which can be heard from the kitchen, the bathroom and of course the garden. Our "Beautiful Apartment" - Old Traveller's Rest - located in Ulpha, in the stunning Duddon Valley, provides very tastefully and recently renovated ground floor accommodation.
Generously proportioned, particularly the lounge and dining area, Old Traveller's Rest welcomes groups and families of up to four guests.
Nestling at the bottom of Birker Fell in Ulpha, and about half way into the Duddon Valley - Old Traveller's Rest has the best of all worlds - guests are in walking distance of the well stocked local post office and walks from the door, and also a short ride over Birker Fell, with its magnificent views beckons, and takes you down to Eskdale, the next valley over - very scenic, not to be missed.
